Best of 2019: Getting Ready Photos

The anticipation, the candid emotional moments, the straight up joy, the pretty little details: these are some of my favorite parts of your wedding day, and they all start to come together as you get dressed in your perfect outfit, put on the accessories you so painstakingly chose, and get one boost of confidence from your nearest and dearest before heading off to marry your best friend. I cherish the hours before you head down the aisle, and starting the day with you is one of my greatest privileges as a wedding photographer. I’ve had more than one couple tell me it “all feels real” as soon as I arrive on-site with my team, and for me that’s true, too! I love starting the day off capturing pretty photos of all of your gorgeous details and hanging out with you, but I also love getting to know your wedding party before I make them pose for me. I love getting to see your cherished grandmothers' handwriting in a carefully wrapped handkerchief. I love sharing a moment with your mom, when she shoots me a proud smile as she watches you transform into a bride. I love sharing a laugh with your groomsmen as they make you take a shot of Malort [#Chicago] before sending you off to your first look.
