Classic Chicago Wedding at River Roast
If there was a checklist for “How to Have a Classic Chicago Wedding,” I’m pretty sure that Jenny + Derek would have checked off each and every box. Jenny got dressed in her elegant white gown from Vagabond Bridal, (with a lace bolero overtop to allow for a second reception look) while enjoying stunning views of downtown Chicago from the Renaissance Hotel, while Derek and his groomsmen, dressed in classic black tuxedos, walked from his downtown apartment to the breath-taking Holy Name Cathedral for their Catholic church ceremony. Up next, stops for photos with their big, fun wedding party at Olive Park and the Wrigley Building before arriving to their River Roast wedding reception via Chicago River Taxi!
We were insanely lucky to have the most gorgeous weather imaginable for their classic Chicago Wedding in October, and I had an absolute blast making Jenny’s Pinterest dreams come true with epic skyline views, her cathedral veil blowing in the wind, and tons of time for portraits of this perfect couple. I love the way these two make each other smile, keep each other laughing, and straight up SLAY on the dance floor. I’m so excited to share some of my favorite photos from their wedding day below:
Thank you, Jenny + Derek for having me with you on your beautiful wedding day! I adore you both, and I’m so very happy for both of you.
XO
AJ
