Wicker Park Rooftop Wedding

Chicago is all about neighborhoods. We’re a city that shows serious pride in our cross-streets, reps our favorite local shops, and lives to brag on our community watering holes. What better way to celebrate Chicago, and your own neighborhood, than by getting married on your very own rooftop?! This awesome couple lives in Wicker Park, a neighborhood known for its trendy businesses, gorgeous murals and lovely namesake park, so when they decided to celebrate their life together with a rooftop wedding atop their home, in the heart of that very neighborhood, I was thrilled to be along for the ride.

After getting ready at the Robey, we took a walking tour of some of our favorite nearby murals, and stopped for family photos and a few more portraits in Wicker Park itself. Despite a rainy morning and a downpour the night before, we had a crisp fall day that was perfectly accented by the bright pops of color in their stunning floral arrangements (featuring some of the most beautiful dahlias I’ve ever seen). After a beautiful ceremony officiated by a dear friend, they shared a delicious family-style dinner with their nearest and dearest and danced the night away. These two have impeccable taste and a strong, quiet, yet joyful love that was truly such a pleasure to witness
